New Public Enemy #1

I have just about had it.  First the chipmunks were eating my strawberries and now I have a critter on the loose who is ruining my yard.  Sheesh!  What's a Tiffy got to do to secure her castle?

Would you look at all the holes surrounding me?  Something has been digging huge holes everywhere in my yard.  Some of the holes are so big that I have fallen into them.  As if!

What a mess!  Daddy isn't very happy about this because he prides himself on having a nice yard.  I'm not too happy about it because I get dirty walking in all the holes and you guys know how I feel about having dirty toes - HATE IT!

What on Earth would do such a thing?  The yard is ruined, I tell you.

I even think the critter is responsible for exploding the mum.  Momma was none too happy when she saw this.

I've stepped up my patrol.  I will work day and night to catch this critter.

I'm hot on his trail already and I will not sleep until he is removed.

"I'm coming to get you, you crazy critter!  No one ruins Tiffy's yard.  No one!"

"What's that, Momma?  Time for dinner?
I will be back, critter, so you better watch out!"

Crazy Great Weekend!

Early Saturday morning we got up at the ass crack of dawn.  I wanted to sleep in but Momma put me in my car seat and we headed to the highway.  I knew where we were going so I offered to help Daddy drive.  Of course he didn't want my help so I decided to scream "Step on it!" from the back seat.

Less than 4 hours later we ended arrived at Salinger's house.  Here I am greeting his sweet mom Laura.  She gave me so many kisses because she loves me so much.

But the party was just getting started because soon after we arrived my good friend Payton arrived.  Woo hoo!  Let's the get the party started!

Payton's mom always travels with treats so as soon as she walked in we swarmed her.  Salinger isn't as treat crazed as a normal pug so he didn't try to knock Christy down.  Me, on the other hand, couldn't get to the treats fast enough.  That cutie in the tutu?  That's Salinger's friend Maggie.  She was such a hoot!

All that excitement didn't make me forget what time it was.  I didn't want to be rude but I just had to go up to Auntie Laura and ask "Is lunch ready?"  Momma just about had a heart attack! Sometimes I have manners and sometimes I don't.  I was just so hungry from the 3,851 hours I had just spent in the car.

Even after lunch Payton and I wouldn't leave the kitchen.  We were scheming to get more food  and of course we did.  Auntie Laura let us clean out the macaroni & cheese casserole dish.  Delicious!

And even after all that food I was convinced I could get more if I just stuck like glue to Auntie Laura.
"What are you looking at Momma?  I'm not begging, I'm helping clean up."

For some reason I don't have a pink tutu so I asked Maggie if I could try hers on.  She said yes but as soon as Momma put it on me everyone said I looked like a peacock.  As if!

Auntie Laura tried to make me feel better but my feelings were hurt.  I can rock a tutu but obviously I need to work on my strut.

I told you Maggie was a hoot and her she is with Uncle Kevin.  That little dumplin' sure knows how to party!

Auntie Laura even surprised me with a birthday cake.  Sweet!  Look at that cake!  I made a wish, blew out the candle, and went to town.

Best birthday cake, ever!  Thank you Auntie Laura!

Soon it was time to head out for the real reason we made the trip to Indy but first we had to stop at Three Dog Bakery.  Payton decided she wanted to try on some hats and boy does she have great taste.  She was the cutest pumpkin in Indy!

Back in the car, I changed into my party dress.  It says 'Love, Peace, Paws'.  Now I was ready to celebrate this girl's first birthday -

Ellie!  Her pretty mom Cindy threw a blow-out birthday bash at the Pug Posse's house.  Ellie just turned 1 and I was so excited to finally meet her.  She is too sweet for words!

Here I am getting lots of loving from Princess Mia's mama.  I spent lots of time in her arms.

Payton's dad pulled out the treats as we headed to the backyard but there were tons of pugs at his feet.  I decided it was probably better to sit this one out so I cruised around meeting everyone.

This is Princess Mia being held by Apollo's mom, Jami.  It's hard to tell from this picture but Mia is even smaller than I am.  She weighs in at 13 pounds, and she told me she has a wardrobe that even Lady Gaga is jealous of.

I got a little overwhelmed by all the action so I headed to the kitchen.  I figured it was safe in there, especially in the corner.  I chilled out there until I smelled the grill fire up.

Of course, my other safe spot was on Daddy's lap.

I couldn't wait to dig into this cake!  Even though I had just had some of my own birthday cake I still had room left for Ellie's.  I wish I had a picture of my disappointed face when Momma told me this cake was for the peeps and not the pugs.  There was a pug cake but Momma failed to take any pictures of it because she was too busy yapping.

We spent the night at Salinger's house.  No, I didn't get to sleep in the big cloud bed but I did raid the treat basket in the guest room.

I was so exhausted from the weekend that I could hardly keep my eyes open as we drove past the corn fields of Indiana.

I soon gave into my exhaustion and curled up for a nice long nap in my car seat.

Thanks again to Salinger for lunch, my birthday cake, and for letting us crash at your house.
Thanks to Payton for making the drive to Indy to hang with us.
Thanks to Ellie for inviting me to her party.
Thanks to the Pug Posse for hosting Ellie's birthday party.
And, of course, thanks to everyone else who showered me with love and kisses.  I'm so glad I finally got to meet all of you!
