Thanks Friends!

I was so honored to receive this pawsome award from the Urban Hounds a couple of weeks ago and then today from Payton.  Like Payton, it's my first award ever.  I am so grateful to have such wonderful blog friends!

The rules of the award are that I need to tell you seven things about myself and then pass the award off to seven bloggers.  This is going to be so much fun!

1.  Even though Momma and Daddy adopted me from Texas, I am originally from Oklahoma.  This means that ...

2.  My twinner Pearl and I are really twins!   Pearl is the only one of my siblings I have located thus far so if you are 5ish and cute, we could be related.

3.  I've never met a food I haven't liked.  I am a foodie and eating is my favorite hobby!

4.  I am fearless.  The only thing I am afraid of is rolled up magazines/papers.  Enough said.

5.  I am a momma.  That's right.  I had 2 litters of babies totaling 13 little ones.  I have no idea where my babies are so if you see any pugs that have tippy toes like mine, please email me.

6.  I occasionally bump into things.  This only happens when I'm not paying attention, usually when I am outside running along the fence.  Oops!

7.  I miss my foster family so much, especially my hero Howie.  I know he misses me too and don't tell Momma but there are plans in the works for Howie to come visit me.  Shhhh - mums the word.

I'm passing this award on to:

Public Enemy Number One!

It decided to curl up in a blanket this morning because it was pouring down rain.  We really needed the rain because the rain barrel was almost empty.  Even the loud thunder didn't disturb my sleep.  I was tired, tired, tired!  Why so tired you ask?  I have been busy trying to rid my life and my backyard of public enemy number one.  He's still lurking out there somewhere but I'm hoping he got washed away with today's rain.

All the trouble started earlier this week.  Momma and I went out to water the strawberry plants and some of the berries were missing.  "What's that, Momma?  The berries are gone?  Who would take my berries?  WAAAAAAHHHH!"

"You think you know who did it, Momma?  Where is he?  I need to talk to him asap!"

Momma explained that the enemy is very sneaky.  He moves fast and it's very hard to catch him.  And, he fights back when attacked.  Eek!  What am I going to do?

If you see this guy please proceed with caution.  He's armed and dangerous, should not be trusted, and is known all over the county as public enemy number one.  If he should cross your path please be warned that a black cat crossing would be safer.  I'm just saying.

Momma has spent the last few evenings moving the strawberry plants all over the yard.  Tonight they will spend the night by the swing.   Please keep your paws crossed that all the berries will be there in the morning.

Just look at all those empty stems!  Grrrrrr!

So instead of doing this tonight I will be drafting a counter terror attack plan.  Come tomorrow morning, the plan will be in place.  Look out chipmunk!

And if you're reading this Mr. Chipmunk, I'm making plans to take you down.  Momma will be putting the plans into place tomorrow so be warned.  I have some important business to attend to this weekend out of town but that doesn't me I'm not watching you.  I've got my eyes on you, even though I can't see.  I will win this war because no one eats Tiffy's strawberries but Tiffy.  No one!

I Scream, You Scream

I've had this day marked on the calendar for quite some time but I guess I lost my mind this morning and didn't remember that today was the day when I woke up.  Duh!  Today is the day of Page's Healthy Paws ice cream social!

I wanted to wear a pretty dress to the social but Momma said it was too hot out for a dress.  Bummer!  So off I went, naked as a jay bird, to get some ice cream and other treats!

We live pretty close to Page's and Momma and I stopped in there the other day to talk to Jody, the owner, about my licking issues.  Jody wasn't there but we were told she would be there today.

A nice lady gave me an ice cream and I immediately went to town eating it.  Daddy thought he had to hold it but I told him I could eat it on my own.

"It's okay, Daddy.  Put the ice cream down.  I can handle it, trust me."

Nom, nom, nom!

I devoured my ice cream while patriotic Snoopy looked on.

After I finished my ice cream we went into the store.  This big, huge great dane puppy was in there and he totally wanted to play with me.  I introduced myself and then the puppy took off to do a little self shopping.  Oops!

All that ice cream wore me out so I took a little nap on the way home.

Jody told Momma and Daddy to put me on a raw diet to see if it helps.  Raw?  I'm not really sure what that means except that the food isn't cooked.  Are any of you on a raw diet?  Is the food good?  I'm a little worried but I told Momma that I would try it for a few days.

Jody gave me a sample bag of food that will last for two days so I'm going to start on it tomorrow.  While we were checking out a vendor gave me an oral stick which smelled delicious.   As we headed toward the door a nice lady vendor gave me a Stella and Chewy's raw treat and it tasted pretty good.  She also gave me a free sample to take home.

I love going to Page's because everyone there is so awesome.  The service is outstanding and Jody and her staff really understand dogs and their issues.  Momma loves going there for those reasons too, plus the fact that she loves to support local businesses.

I will update you on the raw diet next week.  If it works than Momma has a decision to make -  does she buy my food or make it?

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Our power has been out for the past 2 days so now I am way far behind reading blogs!  I have to help Momma clean out the refrigerator today- wink, wink - so I will be catching up with the blogs tomorrow.

I'm Back!

Hi friends!  I thought Momma would never get back from her trips.  She was gone for so long that I almost forgot what she looked like when she picked me up a couple of days ago from the poodle's house.  Bad Momma!  After 13 days away from me, Momma is trying hard to make up for lost time.

I'm still tired from hanging out with the poodles but I'm so glad to be back home.  Momma had a great time with the turtles and can't wait to go back again next year.  I was Daddy's girl while Momma was gone and then all of a sudden he took me to the poodle's house.  I had only been there one other time for a few hours so I really didn't know what to expect.  And I wondered why I was even there.  Where was Daddy going?

It turns out that after Daddy dropped me off at the poodle's house he went to the airport to pick up Momma.  Momma was home for a few hours before her and Daddy went back to the airport to get on a plane headed for San Francisco.  They went out there to attend a wedding but they also met up with some of my friends.

Momma and Daddy spent the 4th of July with my good friends Spencer, Bellatrix, Puglet, Dutch, Phoebe, and Zoey.  I so wish I could have been there but Momma says I'm too spazzy to fly.  Lucky for me, my friends gave Momma gifts to bring home to me.

The only treat Momma has given me so far is the flossie that Spencer gave me.   How did Spencer know that I love flossies?

I hate posing for pictures with treats so as soon as Momma wasn't looking I grabbed the flossie.

The flossie was so delicious and didn't last for long.  Yummy!

All that flossie eating made me sleepy.  While I was sleeping I dreamt about eating all the other treats that Spencer gave me and playing with the stuffies Spencer, Zoe, and Phoebe gave me.  Thanks again for the great gifts!

It was hard not to think about what had happened over the past two weeks while I was sleeping.  While I was having fun with Daddy and the poodles some of my friends left to go to the Bridge.  I'm saddened by this as I know all of you are.  I never got to meet Molly and Lilo in person but Stubby did.  Momma told me that Molly was old just like Stubby and that both of them liked to watch old tv shows and go to the early bird specials at the buffet.  She also told me that Lilo was a true diva who had a pretty dress for every occasion.

I know that Molly and Lilo are with Stubby and all the others having a great time at the Bridge. Maybe they were called to the Bridge because someone up there needed them even though they were needed here on Earth.  They touched so many lives in the short time they were here.  I know I will meet them in person one day but in the meantime I am going to meet their parents later this year.
