A Very Special Day

I didn't mean to make everyone leaky on Wednesday.  When Momma showed me that Stubby's picture was just like mine it just made sense to post both of them.  Speaking of Stubby, today would have been his 14th birthday.  Momma has been a little sad today but she knows Stubby is having a party at the Bridge with Emmitt and Betty.  I decided to have my own party so that I could celebrate Stubby's life.

I wanted to hug Stubby's tree just like he did but my arms were too short.  My little tippy toes wouldn't even reach the tree so I asked Momma for some help.

Me and Momma hugged the tree together and then it was time to go to Stubby's favorite place.

I had been home all day so I was super excited to jump in the car.  I didn't have to sit in my silly car seat because Daddy was driving.  I sat like a good girl on Momma's lap until I begged to have the window rolled down, whined at all the cars, and tried to climb out the window.  Oops!

In no time at all we pulled into Popeyes.  Momma said it was Stubby's favorite restaurant and that he always got to go there.

Can you believe that I'd never been to Popeyes?  In all my five years how had I missed this place?  It smelled so incredibly delicious that I just followed Daddy right up to the door.

Momma said I couldn't go in because I was a dog.  WHAT?  I couldn't go into Stubby's restaurant?  I was so upset that I sat right there by the door and wouldn't let anyone go in.  Nope.  If Tiffy can't go in than no one can!

Daddy wasn't in Popeyes very long and soon we were back home.  Momma put the Popeyes on the floor so I could smell it and at first I was in a trance.  I didn't know what to do or how to act.  And then it hit me.

I tried to get the bag open but I just couldn't do it.  Momma was no help either so I waited for Daddy to help.

And then it was time for me to finally try the Popeyes.  Momma put me on the chair and Daddy let me smell the chicken tender.  I almost jumped off the chair and bit Daddy's finger off because I was dying for the Popeyes.

Nom, nom, nom!  So delicious!  I thought I was going to get a whole chicken tender but I only got a couple bites.  Momma told me that I have to watch my girlish figure but I didn't care if my rolls hung over my harness because I wanted more Popeyes.

Happy birthday, Stubby!  I hope you had a great birthday and that you ate lots of Popeyes and mini-meatloaves!

  6. You are one very lucky Puggie!! I read all the time how all my puggie pals get to eat something other than yucky ole dog food. All my pals get to have extra special foods...human foods...but all I ever get is this crunchy ole yucky, icky dog food. Take an extra bite for me, okay? Don't they realize...I'M A PUG....Pugs need yummier foods!!

VERY Cute Photos of you little Tiffy!

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  7. Oh, what a wonderful Stubby celebration you had!

It's been quite a week: Wednesday we celebrated Scarlet's one year Gotcha Day with a BIG bowl of scrambled eggs, Thursday we celebrated what would have been Angel Nicki's 15th birthday, and then Angel Stubby's 14th yesterday.

I know Stubby & Nicki approve of all the partying and are keeping a watchful eye over you and Scarlet.

  10. We don't have Popeye's here but KFC is pretty good. Most of the time we just get rotisserie chicken from the grocery store ... it's better for the puggers!

We didn't know Stubby but it sounds like he was a pretty special guy!
